Barron hosts festivals throughout the year some of which include Spring Fling, Music in the Park, the Fall Festival, and Business and Industry Appreciation Day.
Music in the Park
The Third Tuesday of each month (May-August) during the summer is Music in the Park from 7:00pm - 9:00pm - Free! Join us for music, food and fun. Bring a lawn chair, grab a picnic table or take a seat in the pavilion at Anderson Park. Food starts at 6:00pm Vendors on-site

Leap into Spring - Business Expo
2014 was a great year to “Leap Into Spring” with the Barron Chamber of Commerce! This year’s expo was held at the Barron Area Community Center and was bigger and better than ever! The event showcased 28 Barron area businesses in the gym and featured live entertainment in the auditorium.
Entertainment highlights included music by local favorite Chris Kroeze , children’s reptile show by Nature’s Connection entitled “Scaly Skins”, performance by Becky’s School of Dance, Martial Arts exhibitions from Brown’s Karate and Team Mattevi, and seminars from Thrivent Fiancial and Bonnie Reno’s “Adventure to Nepal”.
The silent auction raised $1036.00 for the Barron County Boys and Girls Club!
$580 was also raised for the Barron Food Pantry!
Officer Nathan Emmons and Police dog Blitz also attended the event and Foursquare church provided delicious concessions!
A special THANK YOU to all the Barron businesses that participated! The event was a success because of all the spectacular community support!

The 2014 Fall Fest has an activity for everyone. To set the tone for Fall Fest, businesses were encouraged to help “decorate the town” and participate in the Scarecrow Decorating Contest and City-Wide Food Drive. Another pre-activity of Fall Fest is the Golden Pumpkin Hunt. Clues will be posted in the Barron News-Shield, giving individuals an opportunity to hunt for the Golden Pumpkin. The lucky winner will win $50.00 in Barron Chamber Dollars.
Friday there will be a Brat Feed at Econofoods/Mega! CO-OP sponsored by Gift from the Heart.
Saturday starts off with a Pancake Breakfast at Foursquare Church-8:00am-10:00am, a "Walk in the Park"- 5K family fitness walk-9:30am-10:30am. Starting and ending at Anderson Park.
Bicycling enthusiasts will enjoy the splendid fall colors during the Tour De Color Bike Ride, then demo's by Becky's School of Dance-2:00pm, Brown's Karate Academy-2:30pm and others. Mayo Clinic Health System will have kids activities to get them moving!
The Barron band/choir will have a car wash from 10:00am-2:00pm Saturday at Econofoods/Mega! CO-OP.
A Three-person Golf Scramble will take place at Rolling Oaks Course-1:00pm shotgun start and the ever-popular Kiddie Parade-1:00pm.
Kid's Games & Inflatables and Craft/Vendors from 10:00am - 3:00pm. The "Frog Guy" will have frogs and amphibians from 11:00 am - 12:00 am. There will be a Duck Race for kids at 12:00 and adults at 5:00 pm, the Kick Ball Tournament starts at 9:00 am - 5:00 pm sponsored by St. Joseph Church. Get your teams organized now!
Skippy's Bar will have a Poker Run at 10:30am and Fifth Street Saloon will sponsor a Cribbage Tournament at noon.
Food Vendors will be available during the day in the park with beer served starting at 12:00pm. Music In The Park from 11:00am-2:00pm Charlie Uehlin & John Pisa
St. Joseph Church is sponsoring a Pig Roast Dinner 4:30pm-7:30pm with a Silent Auction and Raffle Tickets, entertainment will be by Chris Kroeze & Luke Nukem from 6:00pm-10:00pm. Chris & Luke will then play at Skippy's Bar from 10:15pm-2:00am.

Business and Industry Appreciation Day- August 6th
The Barron Chamber of Commerce will be honoring area business and industry with a day of golf, dining and socialization on Wednesday, Aug. 6 at Rolling Oaks Golf Course and Rolling Oaks Restaurant in Barron.
Chamber members and their employees are invited for a nine-hole, three-person golf scramble starting at 2 p.m. Cost is $5 per person, plus additional charge for golf course non-member greens fees (walking-$13; with cart-$18). A cart for golf course members is $9. Hole prizes and team prizes will be awarded after the scramble in the club house.
To register for golf, call Tony Slagstad at 715-537-5631. To donate prizes, please drop off at Barron City Hall or bring to the golf outing.
After golf or after work, a complimentary picnic buffet will be available for golfers/chamber members on the outdoor deck of Rolling Oaks Restaurant from 5 to 6 p.m. No reservation is necessary.
Lyndon Ellefson Memorial Run
Half Marathon, 5k Walk/ Run and 1mi Fun Walk
This year's event will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2014. This is our sixteenth run/walk raising money to directly benefit the BACC and enrich the quality of life for Barron Area Residents. www.thebacc.com
Half-Marathon: $40 registration fee, $50 on day of event
5K Run/Walk: $20 registration fee, $25 on day of event
Entry fee includes: Short sleeve performance T-shirt, a post-race brunch, use of the Aqua and full use of the BACC facilities including showers, swimming pool, whirlpool and more.
Start times are as follows:
